Could we please replace that description with the following: “Spring Into Summer” with La Lucha and Friends for their inaugural performance at the New Tampa Performing Arts Center! This prominent Tampa Bay jazz trio is consistently evolving and surprising their audiences with re-imagined, genre-shifting arrangements. For this concert, La Lucha will be collaborating for the first time with Brazilian trombonist, François de Lima, a major figure in Samba, Bossa Nova and MPB (Djavan, Gal Costa, Banda Mantiqueira) and long-time friend and virtuoso guitarist, LaRue Nickelson. New Tampa Unplugged is a spin on the hit show MTV Unplugged, which aired in the 1990s and early 2000s and featured popular artists of the time performing acoustic sets. The New Tampa Unplugged series presents acoustic performances from notable Tampa Bay musicians in a unique, intimate setting with candlelit cabaret seating.
